The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce held it’s annual Business Expo last week. Here are some of the vendors who participated.

The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will hold their 17th Annual Expo/Sundowner on Wednesday, September 19th from noon to 6pm. It will be held at the southeastern corner of Marron and El Camino Real, at Plaza Camino Real. Just look for the large white tent.

This year’s expo features a technology pavilion, a health and wellness pavilion, a home pavilion and the opportunity to recycle e-waste. There will also be a Sundowner from 5pm to 7pm. It will be a great networking opportunity.

Here’s a complimentary expo ticket for you to use. If you do come, look for me….as usual, I’ll be the one in the big hat!

The Vista Chamber of Commerce held it’s "Good Morning, Vista" breakfast. The Guest Speaker was Don Sando, Strategic Results Group, speaking on moving from daily fire-fighting to strategic growth.

His reference to Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich!, and the six steps that are key to success:

• Crystallize your thinking, set a goal; create a vision (that must be were our vision boards come into play ;-))))
• Create a written plan
• Develop a sincere desire
• Acquire expert knowledge
• Join a Master Mind group
• Have a dogged determination to follow through

Every once in awhile, it’s nice to be reminded about those six steps. I know I some of them well, and some of them I can improve upon. I do keep my vision board right behind my laptop, where I know I can "visualize" my goals each day.

I also use Subliminal Desktop to rotate my affirmations on my screen throughout my day. There’s a free version, as well as the pro version, which let’s you edit the affirmations.
