My business interview was with Cassie Carter, QLN Conference Center, about the conference center and how local small business owners can use the center. I also discussed the use of Facebook profiles for business.

<p>Today I&#8217;m answering a lot of those questions, sharing why, or why you wouldn&#8217;t want to use social media. I know you&#8217;re hearing that you HAVE to use it or be left behind.</p>
<p>Social media can be a tremendous benefit to your business, but to a certain degree you have to participate. So, I&#8217;m letting you know that you DON&#8217;T have to participate, but&#8230;participating can bring you, and your business, tremendous rewards.</p>

I am often asked  about using social media in business. Most of my fellow business owners are wary of spending time with Facebook and Twitter, especially Twitter.

Today I'm answering a lot of those questions, sharing why, or why you wouldn't want to use social media. I know you're hearing that you HAVE to use it or be left behind.

Social media can be a tremendous benefit to your business, but to a certain degree you have to participate. So, I'm letting you know that you DON'T have to participate, but...participating can bring you, and your business, tremendous rewards.

<p><img style="max-width: 800px;" src="http://www.syndicatingyourcontent.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/FaceBook_128x128.png" align="left" /> I wrote a post recently over at <a target="_blank" href="http://www.syndicatingyourcontent.com/facebook/the-problem-with-creating-a-facebook-page-for-a-client/">Syndicating Your Content</a> about the problems associated with creating a &#8220;like&#8221; page for your client&#8217;s business at Facebook. The problem at that time was that if you weren&#8217;t logged in as your client, creating the page from their profile but your own profile, you became a permanent admin on the page. Meaning a client couldn&#8217;t get rid of you as an admin, which could be good or bad!</p>
<p>Facebook just announced that they are making it possible for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.insidefacebook.com/2010/06/14/note-to-facebook-page-owners-any-page-admin-is-now-removable/">any page admin to be removed</a>, which can be good or bad. It&#8217;s just a matter of perspective. However it does make it much easier to create your client&#8217;s page and know that you&#8217;re not permanently attached to it.</p>
