According to Groundswell there are several categories of online activity. From the Creators, who publish blogs, web pages, upload video and music and write articles, to the Critics, Collectors, Joiners, Spectators, ending with the Inactives, there is change in each of those groups.
The largest growth is in the Spectator group, who read or watch consumer social content. The graph at Groundswell shows us that there is room to grow in each of these groups. But if the Spectator group is growing right now, and they are the ones who consume our content, wouldn’t you want your content to be there for them to find?
