The San Diego Business Showcase is being held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event is sponsored by several of the local Chamber of Commerces and Business Associations in San Diego County.

I spoke with Scott Ashton, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and Colm Kelly, Smarter Small Business about the expo on North San Diego Business At Large. They shared some of the details of the afternoon, including the drive through free electronic recycling at the event.

My guests for the first half of the show were Scott Ashton, The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and Colm Kelly, Do Better Business, one of the sponsors who shared the upcoming San Diego Business Showcase on March 11, 2010.

My second guest will be Mia Roseberry, Wounded Warrior Homes, to talk about transitional housing for our North San Diego Veterens.

Today on North San Diego Business At Large,  I’ll be interviewing Paul O’Neal, President and CEO of the Vista Chamber of Commerce. For several years Vista has held the Vista  Business Expo, and they will be holding this year on October 21st.

I’ll be speaking with Paul about the expo and how the Vista Chamber works with the small business members in growing their businesses.

I’ll also be speaking with Barbara Eldridge, Mind Masters, about planning for the fourth quarter in our businesses. What do we need to look at in order to finish out the year as strong as possible.

On Thursday, September 10, 2009, 3pm – 6pm, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, Palomar College GEAR UP Partnership Program and California State University, San Marcos present Business Exchange and Symposium, an event for small business owners and those thinking of entrepreneurship.

I’ll spoke with Therese Cisneros-Remington the Program Marketing Advisor of Palomar College GEAR UP Partnership and the Founding President of National Latina Business Women Association San Diego Chapter and Joanie Priest, the President and CEO of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce about the event and what it has to offer to North San Diego Small businesses.

Ah the end of the year and the compressed networking schedule! There are a couple of events in North County this week that will be perfect for expanding your sphere of influence.

On Wednesday, December 10th, from 5pm to 7pm, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce holds it’s networking mixer, know as the Sundowner, and this one promises to be fabulous! We’ll be meeting at the new Sheraton at The Crossings.

On Friday, December 12th, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Shadowridge Country Club, The Meet Market will hold it’s Drive By Christmas, Mix, Mingle and Jingle. This is a North San Diego Business Community event with the proceeds of the $8 ticket sales to benefit Becky’s House.

This is an opportunity for you to meet other North San Diego Business owners and get a little holiday shopping out of the way, at the same time. There will be vendors with pre-wrapped gifts that all you’ll need to do is add the tag. What could be simpler?

The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce is holding it’s business networking Sundowner this Wednesday evening, March 19th at the new Sheraton Resort at the top of Cannon, just between Faraday and Legoland.

We were there for the First Friday Breakfast and it’s a beautiful resort with a spectacular view. This promises to be a well attended event. If you need any tips on how to work a mixer, check out the Leads Club blog, where networking expert Lisa Bentson posts tips on business networking.
