As solopreneurs we know that leveraging our business on the Internet is a good way to diversify. I’m a fan of Google and it’s products. Recently I discovered how to add my business to Google’s Local Business Map Directory, including being able to offer coupons.

So, why would you want to list your business with Google. Here’s my business listing page for Syndicating Your Content, producer of North San Diego Business @ Large. If you are involved with AdSense you can also put your ads on your map. Here are Google’s Tips to creating a great listing.

Google has a feature that will let you list your local business on Google. it’s an easy, step through process that will list your site with a Google Map reference.

You should look into grabbing your listing at Google before it gets hijacked. Here is an article that explains the process of hijacking your Google listing.
