Carolyn Gross, Creative Life Solutions, is organizing, Your Health is Your Wealth, an evening devoted to those who choose to make health a priority!

My own life has been affected by Cancer over the past year. A good friend passed away from pancreatic cancer the day after Christmas. A young family member was diagnosed and is not going through chemotherapy.  So when I discovered the event Carolyn was holding, I immediately called and asked her for an interview.

In this episode she shared her story and how this event came to be.  It’s ideal that the event is being held in Escondido at the California Center for the Performing Arts. It starts at 4pm with Networking and a Health Marketplace,  featuring wellness experts, health services and products.

From 5:00-7:15pm you’ll hear from Author/Patient Advocate Carolyn Gross, Geronimo Rubio MD, Dr. Cherilyn Lee and a Health Panel and they’ll be answering your questions. Did you know that San Diego has it’s very own speakers guild? The San Diego Speaker’s Guild offers meeting and event planners a convenient way to find speakers in San Diego and the surrounding areas.

In today’s episode I’ll be interviewing Vicki Garcia, one of the directors of the San Diego Speakers Guild about how they connect planners to speakers here in San Diego.

On Wednesday, June 17th, I’ll be sharing tips on using Facebook to market your business. The discussion begins at 8am at the San Marcos Chamber office, located at 939 Grand Avenue. RSVPs are required and there’s a $5 charge, continental breakfast included.

On Friday, March 13th, the San Diego Chapter of SCORE held it’s bi-monthly breakfast at Morgan Run. Brian Collins, Ovation.tv, presented "From Trepidation to….Ovation" to the attendees.

Using stories and humor he shared tips on creating our presentations, managing our speaking engagements and the set up the day of our presentation. I have used public speaking for many years to market my business, now over the Internet more than anything else. I found his presentation full of wonderful tips that are sure to strengthen my speaking and presentation skills.  I’d love to hear what you think of his tips. Please comment below!

On Friday, February 6th the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s First Friday Breakfast will host Jana Barnhill, President of Toastmasters International. Jana will be presenting "Effectively Communicate To Give Your Business An Edge."

Jana graciously accepted my offer to interview her on Toastmasters International and how speaking skills enhance your business success. Here is the audio of that interview, and a shameless plug for my own Toastmaster’s Club, Tick Talk Toastmasters. We meet each Thursday evening at 7pm at Carlsbad By The Sea located at Carlsbad Blvd. and Grand Ave. Stop by and see what we are all about.

On June 25th, at Sheryl Roush’s Heart Of A Mother Tea, I had the opportunity to interview author and speaker, Mary Marcdante about her book “My Mother, My Friend.”
